Free Event - Key Worker & Runner Memorial Thank-You Run

This is a 7hr time challenge event where you can choose the distance you want to run for. All runners of any ability can enter the event, it is not just reserved for Key Workers. We are hoping, by August, most if not all the social distancing rules will have been relaxed - however we will be limiting the event to 100 runners. We will increase this slightly if we are permitted to nearer the event date.

We will be having a 2 minute race pause to clap the NHS but also as a time to reflect on runners who have sadly passed away recently. The race pause will occur at 26minutes and 12seconds into the event (to represent 26.2 miles) if we are able to have a mass start. Otherwise this will occur at 10am.

Our fundraising is a little unique in that we have set up a Go Fund Me page in order to collect optional / no-obligation donations from entrants and the wider running community. We really want to stress that no-one who enters is under any obligation at all to donate.

However, our aim is to raise money which can either directly support famiies of a runner who has sadly passed away, or for the family to choose a charity of their choice where we can donate directly. If you do want to donate then we suggest you donate an amount that represents a running distance e.g. £5 for 5k, £10 for 10k, £13.10 for half marathon etc. etc.

If you are a family member of a runner who is no longer with us, then please contact us and we will add you to our family list. We are hoping to turn this into an annual fundraising event so lets see what we can do and how much we can raise together.
