About The Event:
Join us for our Beam Me Up Run at Lee Valley Country Park. This is a great run for any Trekkies as the bling is going to be out of this world. For this run we will look to change our normal route so that you runners can 'boldly run where no runner has ran before'.
This is a 7 hour timed event where you can choose how long you want to run for and your distance from 5km to ultra. You can complete as many laps of the winding course along the beautiful Lee Valley Country Park. We welcome runners of all abilities and as long as you complete at least the 5km will earn an iconic themed medal. Alternatively, you may carry on running and complete as many laps as you can manage within the time limit! We also have a 50k option for those wishing to run this distance. Remember that 'Runners do have an amazing capacity for believing what they choose and excluding that which is painful.'
At the end of each lap (4.37 miles / 7.0km), you will have our fantastic aid station which is exceptionally well stocked as 'Runners cannot live on bread alone'. Whilst refueling you can 'logically' decide to 'Klingon' in there and run another lap, or you can ring out and collect your amazing medal and goody bag.
All this exercise should help you to 'live long and prosper' and remember that 'things are only impossible until they're not.'
MINI-ME PIN OPTIONS - Whilst Scotty 'canna change the laws of physics', we have and we have shrunk our normal medal to make a mini-me event pin!. We will have 30 mini-me pins available as part of our Mini-Me Pin Only entry options. We will also have 70 additional pins available for the first 70 runners who sign up to the Full Medal options.
There will, however, be our normal distance pin for all runners who complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50km or Ultra in the 7hr time limit which can be attached to your medal ribbon.
The course is around the Lee Valley Country Park and classified as a trail run. The course is flat and fast!
The toilets are situated in the White Water Centre which is available for our runners use from 8:30am and for the entire event. Parking is included in your entry fee, which is slightly higher than our normal to include your parking.
Places are strictly limited and event registration will close once these are sold out.
Minimum distance is 5km which will have a separate turnaround point, but a complete lap 4.37 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours.
