About The Event:
The Day After George's Birthday and a race HQ in a brewery, nothing can go wrong..surely?
Join us for our first midweek run from Thameside Brewery and along the Thames Path towards Chertsey. This is a new route for our midweek runs as we look to provide you with alternative midweek locations. This event will feature another medal unique to the midweek series which will have a theme linked to the brewery!
The event is a 7hr time challenge event for all runners, but specifically could appeal to people chasing numbers or trying to fit in extra events to achieve personal goals. We have been chasing numbers ourselves and know the cost of doing a large numbers of events in a short period of time. The midweek runs are designed to help bring the cost of running events down to all runners. You will still receive a great medal and a small goody bag and we will have a full aid table for runners, including a vegan range.
There will be a distance pin for all runners who complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50km or Ultra in the 7hr time limit which can be attached to your medal ribbon.
The aid station is at the start line and therefore available every 4.37 miles. The toilets are situated inside the Brewery. The Brewery will be open to runners and they do serve other items, including food as well as beer (including take-a-way beer cartons!). You can relax afterwards in their bar area and listen to their free 1970s Jukebox!
The course is along the Thames River path and is flat and fast. It is a good quality path, with a couple of sections where you run over grass with reinforcement in the soil to prevent it from becoming muddy.
Minimum distance is 5km (we will have a 5km turnaround marker) or as far as you can go in 7 hours.
